The type of inhaler doesn't really matter most drugs come in a lot of the formats (aersol, easibrathe, dry powder etc.) but what will probably change is the medication it contains. You can generally ask for it in whichever type of inhaler you prefer though there are some limitations because not all drugs are manufactured in all types. Your doctor will either up the dose or maybe add a long-acting reliever like atrovent or a differnt preventer all together - it varies from doctor to doctor. Hope thats helps! Annie |

what type like a dry powderd preventer inhaler or somthing like that. |

2 puffs morning and night is not a high dose - he could still increase it. He certainly won't give you a nebuliser, because these are a "last resort" for most asthmatics; there are loads of other things he'll try first. Most likely, other than increasing your dose of Clenil, is the addition of another preventer inhaler to take daily. |

hi peaksteave he has all ready put me up on clenil modulite: 2 puffs moning and night with spacer. the salbutamol easi-breathe: whenever i need it which when i take it , it does not help maybe the slightest bit so. do u think he will put me on a dry powderd one or a nebulizer..... you see where im coming from. |

He might not change your meds; he might just increase the amount of Clenil you take. There are a load of other things he could do, though, so don't worry about it - but let us know how you get on! |

i am age 12 now and i have had asthma all my life since i was born and im going to ask my mum if she can make a docs appointment cause for last 2 monthes iv been getting a tight chest and having shortness of breath. so far i am on salbulamol easi-breathe (blue reliver) and that celine modulite (brown preventor)(sos for spellings) what do u think he will put me on now?? |
