Does anyone know why they tell you take this medicine at night?? Funny how the doctors prescribe you these pills without giving you any extra information....PS loving the HOUSE Theme! Did anyone see the one where they pull the giant worm out of the girl who thinks she is paralysed!! Ugh! |

Hi Steve, I know that episode well, it is genius! However, it's a bit of a different case, as I - like I am sure lots of people here - suffer from a delightful combination of asthma, excema, allergies, rhinitus and polyps, so there is no question of me not being on at least 2 types of medication at any given time! Anyway, thanks for the advice. I have decided to give it a try, because it really does help with my symptons, but am taking it every other day, so if it does make me crazy, at least it's only every other day! Have also asked my family to keep an eye on me and my mood swings.... . And btw I have 8 cats but please don't tell my ENT consultant |

Yes, season one. One of the very first episodes - he says it to the mother of one of the clinic patients he sees, rather than to the "main" patient in the episode. |

Lol at Steve. Is that season one? If I were you I would try it and see what happens. You may not get any side effects at all. I know I don't, and if you do it can always be stopped? Ypu never know until you try... |

To quote Dr Gregory House, aka Hugh Laurie, you have to "weigh up the risk of side effects with the risk of not being able to breathe"! |

Hello Thanks for your reply. Wierd and amazing this internet thing! Since writing that note, I have been doing more research and there are loads of people complaining about the side effects of Singular, especially in children. Mainly things like anxiety, mood swings, depression...I am worried now, because as a woman, I suffer from these at times anyway. Does anyone else have any experience of these? I'm trying to work out if the benefits will outweigh the risks. I have asked those people close to me, to keep any eye on me. |

Im on a quite high dose (10mg) and at first i also got really really vivid dreams which was horrid but after a month or so they decrease and mine have pretty much stopped now. They are really good for phlegm though, which is the main reason i took them. x |

Hello, I have just joined, so hi to yee all! My ENT consultant has just put me on Singulair, but didn't give me much information about it, other than to say, it's not a steroid and not an anti-histamine. I googled it and there was some evidence in the USA that it can cause pyschological problems, and lead to suicidal thoughts. I am - understandably - now worried. I have taken it though and it does help with my spmptoms. I am also enjoying deep sleep and lots of dreams - don't mind that part! |

I get this with singulair, though not as often as I did when I first started- they can be quite vivid and strange. Hopefully you'll find they might decrease but if not then maybe bring it up next time you see your GP? |

It's apparently quite a common side effect of Singulair - must be freaky, though! |

hey everyone, just recently got prescribed singulair (after being ill for a quite while ) and this might seem like a strange question, but does any one else who takes it have really crazy dreams?! I know it seems weird but ever since I started taking them I've had VERY realistic but strange dreams. almost to the point where I wake up genuinly confused as to what is real an what isnt!! Just wondering if anyone else got this? Thanks Evie |
