I've had asthma since I was about 3. It was really bad to begin with but luckily it doesn't affect me very much any more. Hope you're ok |

Hi there, sorry to hear you're having a bad time with your asthma. Whenever I've my asthma's been really bad and I've been given Pred, I've always found it works pretty quickly improving your symptoms. I think generally for me it takes a few days before I'm nearly back to normal, but I'm guessing that might change depending on the severity and your other meds. Hope it clears up soon |

Hi all. I went to the doctors on tuesday and he said i had a chest infection - probably not asthma. he sent me home with antibiotics. 3 days later i couldn't get outta bed and found it difficult to breathe between coughing. i went back to the doctors and i saw a different one. she said i have severe asthma and to take Pred (steroid) tablets, Clenil (steroid) inhaler and another ventolin. I started these meds yesterday and although my peak flow has improved, i'm still in bed. I actually want to go back to school on monday... How long will the steroids take to work??? PLEASE REPLY. I'M IN BED AND BOOOOORED!!!! |
