Sounds like your having a tough time! I had a really big struggle with my parents when it came to asthma and they'd often make remarks when I was in hospital etc. I went and spoke to my dr and we all had a meeting. It emerged that my mum was finding it quite hard to accept and was almost in denial, maybe your parents are like this - just really worried? Speak to your dr or trusted teacher and see if they wouldn't mnd speaking to your parents
also at 14 your allowed to see the dr by yourself so your parents needn't come

Hey samiejadeand, Ive had asthma since 3 weeks old and i know how it feels to be laughed at but i told them its a good thing to do cause it makes you more uncomfortable, And you said your parents shout at you well thats low....Getting shouted at cause of something thats not your fault can sometimes trigger it...Makes you panic you take the inhalor when Feeling breathless, struggling to breat 15 minutes before PE or just in the middle of running about hope this helps Message me if you need any help!

hi samiejadeand!

i have had severe asthma for 2 weeks and i know how you feel bout when you get laughed at. i sometimes can't breathe when i cough. i would tell a teacher and hopefully they can help you out.

hi im 14 and have had asthma for 12 years i try and talk to my parents about my asthma they just dnt understand as resently ii have been having my inhalor alot more than i usually do and when it is empty my mum or dad shouts at me and says im using it to much even though my doctor says no matter what take it when i need it i also often need my inhlor and cant breath at dinner and i dnt like taking my inhalor in front of friends as the last time i did they just laughed for about 15 mins because i breath hevily when i take it its not like im trying to be funny its becuz im in pain and no-one seems to understand
