A port or portacath is like a perminant IV in your chest.An implantable port (also known as a portacath) is a device that goes into a vein in your chest and sits just under the skin. It will look a small bump under the skin. Once you've got one, you have medicines and fluids through it. I have to have one for 3 weekly infusions cuz i have a PICC line at the moment xxx | ||

I was just wonderin if anyone has a portacath or a port?? cuz i will be getting one in a few months and wanted some advise from people around my age who has one. thank you!! xxx |
