There is a course going on My skool over easter about it.All teachers Have to Go to it.There has been a 40% increase in asthma in our skool this year! |

pe teachers actually get taught bout asthma and talkin to her explainin ur situation can help as she will be able to understand as every asthmatic is different, if u find it hard to talk to her write a note of email her

the PE teachers left me there once i didn't have my inhaler with me, and i couldn't talk cos i could hardly breath, thats why i hate PE now! |

I always found school First Aiders to be useless. I had my worst ever asthma attack at school, and they shut me on my own in a tiny room with no windows for half an hour until my mum came and got me. I thought I was going to die.
They spent more time asking me which lesson I was missing than actually helping me. So glad I'm not there any more! |

heheheh funny story well wasnt rlly at time but lookin back....
i had an attck at school last week and the nurse was busy so while they were trying to get her they sent a first aider to look after me. She was flipping useless! her advice was:
1 put your head between you knees
2 she tried to take away my inhaler so i didn overdose
3 tried to make me laugh to help me feel better!
and she was a trained first aider!
anyhow am all better now (sort of) had to be ambulanced out of skool but home now!
sorry bit of a ramble there! and not rlly to do with sport coaches but hey it made me laugh (later on) |

I had a gaelic match today.I had an attack during the middle of it and My coaches Were Really good.I sat down for 20 mins and the girls managed without me.We lost in the end But sure.My presence probaby wouldn't change anything! I just wish My soccer coaches were the same! |

well i cant see y anyone wouldnt agreee with you i think its horrid when ppl dont believe you its hard to explain when they dont know what it feels like to not be able to breath or a tight chest and not be able to do much about it ( well u can obciously but in a n attack) hope u are all better than i am tryin to keep well away!!

i hav a really horrible sports coach i was really weezy one day and asked not to do the runnin and she made me do it anyway, i had an asthma attack and she told me to stop attension seekin. my friends had to sort me ou and ring for ambulance. |

it bugz me coz evry1 thinkz vat iv u hav asthma u juzt use blue inhaler and evryvingz betta again - i wish

as a coach myself and a asthma suffer i think that is really bad that ypur coach dosnt know what to do
do you have one on the asthma attack cards whcih you could sho him to explain what to do i thibnk you should explain what to do in attack for yourself and maybe write it down
