That sounds quite unusual - but at least you're getting closer to finding out what's wrong.

Once they know what it is and what causes it, they can give you medication and an action plan, and (hopefuly) you should get less trips to hosp!

I go to hozzie lots but all my pulmonary tests say I don't have asthma! But then the docs decided to do a pulm. test while I was having an attack. so now they found that most of the time, its like I dont even have asthma, but then when I DO have an attack it is very severe.were still trying to find out mi triggers.

I have a friend with Brittle Asthma Type 2. She is actually a nurse, and copes really really well most of the time. However, occasionally she'll suddenly go down in a matter of hours, and she won't really notice it. Most of the time her family spot she's ill before she does and take her to hospital.
Worst-case for her is complete collapse. It can be very very scary.

I don't think she has a direct trigger - but she is allergic to lots of things.

How about yourself?

After about 6 months of confusion, I have FINALLY been diagnosed with Something other than "mild asthma with a tendency toward severe attacks". Yesterday my doc told me I have something called Brittle Asthma type 2. Does anyone else have this? Is there anythign you can tell me about it? Thanks!
